Our Travertine stone tile collections are designed to provide an alternate choice in today’s market place based on texture, movement, filled or unfilled surfaces and color. The first collection is rustic in nature and unfilled 4 pieces patterns are available. The second is more refined honed finish and cement filled. The Colors of our travertine collections range from sand colored beiges, unique golden tans, to medium and dark walnut. ETC’s Travertine collections are classified as cross cut which describes the direction in which the stone is cut from the extracted blocks. Fleuri Cut aka Cross Cut is a cut made parallel to the bed. The layers of the sediment compiled one on top of each other create the formation of the bed. Vein Cut is a cut made perpendicular to the direction of the bed.

Travertine is a sedimentary rock that originated as a limestone (calcium carbonate) that changed overtime due to extreme heat and pressure from the earth’s core. Holes and voids were created through out the stone layers when pressurized hot water and steam were forced through the rock during formation and the cooling process.
